Earlier today I went outside to find my smile. I had lost it somewhere and I thought that maybe it had slipped out the door when I wasn’t looking.
As I stepped outside I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful sunshine. It was so bright, I had to close my eyes for a minute. I could immediately feel the warmth of the rays on my face. I remained for a moment just basking in the glow
The air was fresh and cool, inviting me to take a deep breath. And so I inhaled…. Clean, life-giving oxygen quickly filled my lungs. Seconds later I exhaled… toxic carbon dioxide leaving my body.
I started to relax.
As I focused on my breathing, I pictured the cells down deep inside of me receiving the fresh oxygen. They began to heal, renew, and regenerate, restoring balance to my body.
A quiet whisper reminded me that I also needed to spend some time today with the Son. Stand in the brilliance of His light and feel the warmth of His love on my face.
As I began to meditate on His goodness, my focus turned once again to my breathing.
I began to inhale His everlasting life~ joy, strength, peace, love
With the urge to exhale, I felt myself releasing anxiety, frustration, heartache, fear
And somewhere down deep inside, the cells of my heart began to heal, renew, and regenerate, bringing much-needed restoration and balance.
Then I found itmy smile. It was there with the Son all along.
