One of the most recent lessons I have learned about simply embracing life has come about in just the last few months. Several years ago I decided to quit torturing myself with new year’s resolutions and choose just one word to be my focus for the coming year. My word for 2016 is “Fresh.” As I have endeavored to incorporate more “fresh” into my life, I have come to appreciate its importance. I didn’t realize how stale some areas of my life had become until I began to pursue something fresh.

Fresh air

Fresh food

Fresh water

Fresh attitude

Fresh ideas

Fresh coffee

Fresh direction

Fresh connections

Fresh environment

Fresh perspective
We all can use a little more fresh in our lives. That’s why I am declaring each Friday here on the blog to be Find Your Fresh Friday.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find something fresh to do today. It can be as simple as going outside and breathing in some fresh air. Take a walk. Visit a local farm stand and pick up the ingredients for that new recipe you’ve been wanting to try. Find a new book to read. Create something. Go try a new coffee place. Rearrange the furniture. The possibilities are endless!

Will you accept the challenge?
